Garrison Parents/Guardians of High School Students:
We would like to provide additional information about bus transportation to the parents and guardians of our high school students.
If you can not access your child’s bus route information through the Parental Portal, please email Mike Oneto, Transportation Supervisor, at moneto@gufs.org, and he will provide you with your child’s bus route information.
High School Bus Routing Information
High School buses pick up students in the morning at individual or community bus stops. All HS students are returned to the Garrison School lower parking lot, where they will get on the bus to their respective high school.
Parents/guardians have the option of dropping their high school students off at the Garrison lower parking lot by 6:45 a.m. so they can get directly on the bus that takes them to their respective high schools.
Regular Afternoon Dismissal times for Haldane and O’Neill High School
Buses pick up students at their high schools and transport them back to Garrison. These students then get on a high school PM bus run that brings them to their respective bus stop.
Parents/Guardians can pick up their students at the Garrison lower parking at approximately 2:50 PM.
Regular Dismissal Time for Putnam Valley High School
A bus picks up students at approximately 2:45 pm. The bus returns to the Garrison lower lot between 3:00 and 3:15 pm. Students can be picked up at Garrison upper lot or they will ride the elementary bus home.
Activity/Sports Buses
Haldane High School
Students are picked up at Haldane HS at approximately 3:25 pm. and returned to the Garrison lower lot. Parent and Guardians must pick up their students at the Garrison lower lot.
O’Neill High School
Students are picked up at O’Neill HS at approximately 3:55 p.m. and returned to the Garrison lower lot. Parents and Guardians must pick up their students at the Garrison lower lot.
Students may also take the second late activity bus from O’Neill HS. Those students are picked up around 5:30 pm and returned to the Garrison lower lot. Parents and Guardians must pick up their students at the Garrison lower lot.Putnam Valley High School
Students are picked up at Putnam Valley HS at 4:15 p.m. and returned to the Garrison lower lot. Parents and Guardians must pick up their students at the Garrison lower lot.
Students may also take the second late activity bus from Putnam Valley HS. Those students are picked up around 5:30 p.m. and returned to the Garrison lower lot. Parents and Guardians must pick up their students at the Garrison lower lot.
