Important Notice: Alternative Inclement Weather Bus Pick-Up and Drop-Off Locations

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. We are under a winter weather advisory tonight through tomorrow morning, which may include some mixed precipitation and cause slippery road conditions. If there is any change to tomorrow’s schedule, I will alert you via Parent Square in the morning.

During severe weather events, it can become unsafe for buses traveling on roads located at higher elevations or that are unpaved. As we go deeper into the winter season, we want to add procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students during inclement weather events.

As a result, we have identified predetermined alternative pick-up and drop-off locations for specific roads. This will allow us to keep schools open and safely transport students, even if certain roads are deemed unsafe for bus travel.

In the event that certain roads are unsafe, but we can still open schools either on time or with a delayed opening, we ask that parents/guardians who live on the roads listed below bring their children to the identified alternative locations.

The chart below contains a list of the roads affected and the approximate times you can expect the bus to be at these alternative pick-up/drop-off points.

We will always notify the community via Parent Square when we utilize these predetermined alternative pick-up/drop-off locations. They are also posted on our website's transportation subpage.

Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we work together to ensure the safety of our students.
